Michael M. Crow is an educator, knowledge enterprise architect, science and technology policy scholar and higher education leader. He became the sixteenth president of Arizona State University in July 2002 and has spearheaded ASU’s rapid and groundbreaking transformative evolution into one of the world’s best public metropolitan research universities. As a model “New American University,” ASU simultaneously demonstrates comprehensive excellence, inclusivity representative of the ethnic and socioeconomic diversity of the United States, and consequential societal impact.

Lauded as the ”#1 most innovative” school in the nation by U.S. News & World Report for eight straight years, ASU is a student-centric, technology-enabled university focused on global challenges. Former President and CEO
Knight-Swift Transportation

Dave Jackson is the former President and CEO of Knight-Swift Transportation (NYSE:KNX), a Fortune 500 company. At $8 billion in annual revenues, Knight-Swift is the largest full-truckload freight transportation company in North America. Dave began his career with Knight in 2000, becoming the CFO in 2004, the President in 2011, and the CEO in 2015, remaining in that position after the 2017 merger with Swift Transportation.

Dave is a member of the Dean’s Council at ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business and the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC). In 2016, Dave was recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of the 40 most powerful CEO’s under the age of 40.

Dave has a Global Business degree from Arizona State University. He and his wife, Becca, have five children and live in Phoenix, Arizona. Outside of work, they try to be actively engaged in volunteer opportunities in their community.
